π The Nucleusβ
The Coreβ
In the center of Nuak is the Nucleus. It's a black hole and a source of Exium Flux. While the blackhole would theoretically only be a few millimeters across, it seems that the concentration of Exium is, at least visually, massively expanding this range to hundreds of kilometers. It also appears to have a purple-red-green haze or aura around it, making it difficult to fixate the exact diameter of it. When looking down at the cliff of an island, it can definitely be seen with the naked eye and appears about 8-times as big as a full moon.
Additionally, there is a small accretion disk around it, generating some heat and light. The disk seems to consist of matter which hasn't fallen in yet and various kinds of Flux. It's shining in bright rainbow colors.
Exium Burstsβ
Up to a couple time per week, the Nucleus is erupting bursts of Exium outwards. The affected islands are very dangerous to be on and often stay chaotic for weeks. It's best to think about it as Radiation, but instead of only destructive, its chaotic energy creating all kinds of things. Some people hunt after these bursts in the hope of finding rare materials and precious objects. Some to help the potentially injured and unfortunate ones.
ποΈ The Islandsβ
Overviewβ
The surface is no longer a continuous area. After the Fracturing, the surface broke up and split up into countless islands, ranging in sizes from only a few meters up to hundreds of square kilometers, though these are more on the rarer side. They also differ in the depth, some are only a meter, while others can get up to a few kilometers in depth. All of this depends on the size and distributions of the Flux crystals keeping the island in the sky.
Islands can be on different heights, depending on the mass of the island and the crystals. Generally, islands are usually in heights of 5,000 to 6,000 kilometers above the Nucleus center.
Island Groupsβ
Islands are also often flying in groups. They have approximately the same speeds and direction and travel together. Interestingly, islands rarely crash even though the average distance between islands is only a couple of kilometers. The Flux Crystals seems to slightly drift them apart.
Climatesβ
Islands can carry wildly different climates, flora, and fauna. The base of them is provided by the types of Flux crystals in the island's mass. However, there are still some regions where certain types of islands are more common. It's rare to jump directly from a desert to an ice island.
Even though, seasons still exist and got more intense than they are on earth currently. The same goes for weather.
