πŸ—Ό Infrastructure

As the world has been heavily destroyed, infrastructure is not as globalized as in the Human Era. Although the usage of Fluxtech has heavily progressed it in the recent decades.

πŸš€ Mobility

Public Transport

Most islands which home at least a smaller city are connected by public transport in the form of big airships. They can be compared to trains from the Human Era, with the exception of needing rails.

Private Airships

Of course people also like to have their own airship as it's more flexible. For smaller communities and unpopulated islands, it's the primarily the only way of traveling.

However, these ships are highly expensive as they are very complex and some resources used are rare. So many people don't own one and are bound to their Island or whatever the public transports can support. Learning how to fly an airship is also not the easiest thing to do, as it's more like flying a spaceship-helicopter instead of a more simpler vehicle like a Human Era car.

πŸ”Š Communications

Overall communications are still fairly bounds to the local island group for most people. This means that people rarely have knowledge of what happens on other, especially on remote, island groups.

Data Tablets

Many people own something called a Data Tablet. It's similar to the Human Era smartphones or tablets, but more primitive and based on Flux instead of electronics.

It functions as a simple portable computers that can be used to write notes, do calculations, take pictures, and access the Aethernet.

Aethernet

The Aethernet is a communications network similar to the Human Era Internet and Phone Networks, however it's limited in range and bandwidth. It's based on communications towers and cables transmitting and receiving waves of Lumir & Nirum Flux Streams.

The islands on the planet are always on the move, thus long-range links cannot easily be maintained and often require multiple repeaters on rouge islands. This often limits the range to the local island group.

The data rates are still rather low as the entire Aethernet Technology is still in just gaining traction beyond academic use. Text, voice, and images are the primary things that can be transmitted.

Long Range Communication

For long-range there are primarily two possibilities. Travel and deliver the message directly, or send a letter via a mail service. Rarely delivery drones are used as well, similar to carrier pigeons.
