π Equipment
Inventoryβ
There is no weight tracking or similar. It is simply assumed that a character can take everything with them that they could realistically carry on their body and inside a normal-sized backpack.
Equipmentβ
In general, equipment are items or skills which give a character actions to perform, most commonly Weapons and Skills.
Skills and Weapons function identically in terms of action mechanics. They differ in how they are acquired and upgraded. Additionally, Skills focus on creating effects, while Weapons mainly deal damage.
Weaponsβ
Weapons are equipment that is mainly used to damage enemies in battle. They are categorized into different types which generally define how the weapon functions.
Weapon Slotsβ
Every character has two weapon slots. These can be used interchangeably during battle. Switching to non-equipped weapons, requires a full turn.
Ammo & Boost Itemsβ
Ammunition for weapons isn't kept track of. It is simply assumed that a character has an sufficient amount of normal ammo with them.
Every weapon type has a special kind of ammo. The Boost Items are one-time use and can dramatically powerup an attack. These are tracked.
Proficienciesβ
A character has 3 different levels of knowledge about weapon types called Proficiencies tracked as traits:
- Untrained (= no Trait), which puts a disadvantage to every hit roll with this weapon.
- Proficient, which allows the character to normally use the item.
- Mastery, which grants the character an advantage to every hit roll.
